Kaye is the only mortal at the wedding among scantily dressed nymphs and fickle satyrs and even worse – dateless and then she finds herself seated next to the God of War, Ares and the reader can’t help but get drawn into the fireworks that follow as Ares actions have caught the attention of a powerful witch set on revenge and Kaye is the mortal who will pay the price. The strong compelling characters leap from the pages with vibrant intensity and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps anticipation building throughout with suspense and romance. Kaye’s and Are’s worlds may have been turned around by the curse but the attraction between grows steadily stronger the longer they are together. Expectation of just what will happen between Kaye and Ares keeps readers on the edge as they wait to discover the result of the curse and just where the relationship is headed. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination while the well orchestrated events ensure that they continue to turn the pages to the very end and the reader’s hearts are captured by the emotional impact of the curse which clutches Ares and Kaye in its grasp. 4 1/2 STARS

Aubrie grew up watching the original Star Wars movies over and over again until she could reenact every scene in her backyard. She also loved The Goonies, Star Trek The Next Generation-favorite character is Data-, and Indiana Jones. But, her all-time favorite movie is The Last Unicorn. She still wonders why the unicorn decided to change back to a unicorn in the end.

Aubrie wrote in her junior high yearbook that she wanted to be "A Concert Flutist" when she grew up. When she made that happen, she decided one career was not enough and embarked as a fantasy, sci fi author. Two careers seems to keep her busy. For now.
