To be honest, I love this book. I read it years back and adored it. The alien one still is a little freaky, but it's worth reading. My favorite story was 'Simon'. Simon was greedy and asked for things from his poor parents. One day, he wanted to be a hunter, so his parents got him a rifle. Unable to buy such expensive things for him anymore, his parents told him he needed other people to buy him things. Disgusted, Simon became a hunter and grew rich. A man then told him if he wanted everyone to look upon him, he should hunt a golden bird. After a long time, he finally found it and shot it. However, from the neck up, he became a bird. The prince tossed him into a cage. For months, he was looked upon and laughed at. After two years, he was set free. He worked for food, but was then tossed out. He visited his parents. They did not recognize him. He heard hunters and ran into the forest. He saw the Golden Bird, who Simon had thought he'd killed. A hunter shot at it, but Simon leaped in the way. The hunter ran. The Golden Bird turned him fully into a bird, and he became free and whole. Amazing book, very worth reading. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a tale or two to imagine.

This is amazing my favorite was wizard cat. Spooky and fun. Alien mascot creeped me out!
