Excellent read. Well written suspense to keep you at the edge of your seat. The best page turner I've never had a chance to put down until the end. I was sucked into it from page 1.

Better than average is pretty good and this one is all of that. A rather involved tale of outdoor adventure spiced with booze, cash, drugs and more characters than usual. I liked it and I think you will too...

I always enjoy suspense in my home country of the Greater Yellowstone.

About the author

C. J. Box is the author of over twenty Joe Pickett novels, as well as several stand-alone novels and a story collection. He has won the Edgar, Anthony, Macavity, Gumshoe, and Barry Awards, as well as the French Prix Calibre .38, and has been a Los Angeles Times Book Prize finalist. A Wyoming native, Box has also worked on a ranch and as a small-town newspaper reporter and editor. He lives with his wife on their ranch in Wyoming.
