It’s the dead of winter, and FBI Agents Jade Monroe and J.T. Harper are asked to assist the Gary, Indiana, police force in a possible serial killer case that has everyone stumped.

A body, frozen stiff and drained of blood, is found by children playing near an old quarry. Several weeks later, a second body is discovered in an abandoned house, and the manner of death is identical. The agents race to Gary when word of a third victim comes in.

With no clues and multiple frozen bodies, the agents have no idea when these women died or what the FBI is facing, yet the body count rises and the manner of death remains the same. Jade wonders whether they’re heading into the dark, unknown world of the occult, a place she knows nothing about—and has no desire to.

The most well-known occult leader in the area is in their sights and currently their only lead. Are the agents and local law enforcement heading down the wrong path? The final blindside shakes Jade to her core and leaves the entire police force stunned.

this woman must think about food all the time because every other page they're stopping somewhere to eat again. She finds it necessary to describe what they eat in great detail. I liked her at first but can't deal with much more of the pointless page filling info.

Basically the same story as E.H. Reinhard's 2015 book Drained. Body's drugged, drained of blood & hunted by a new FBI agent. Sutter books are just a different spin on E.H. Reinhard's books. Wishing someone had noticed this before and told me before I purchased & read all of them! Very disappointed!!! Read E.H.'s books first they are cheaper & were written first! Definitely not a coincidence!!!!

I have read almost this whole series. I read all the books when Jade was at the police department and now were she's FBI. This is the 3rd of these series I have read and so far I have not been disappointed at all. I just wish I hadn't read the last series first, that was my only mistake. C.M. Sutton please keep the series coming. Your books are amazing and I love what you throw in to surprise your readers. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
