About the author

Carlie Gibson is a children's book author and mum to three young children. She has a passion for the power of words and loves the challenge of writing in rhyming verse. She lives in Canberra with her family and works as a communications adviser. The Sisters Saint-Claire and the Royal Mouse Ball is her second book, inspired by the simple joy of family, community and making the most of what you have.

Tamsin Ainslie was born and educated in the UK and lives in Murwillumbah with her daughters Olympia and Matilda. Tamsin started drawing at an early age, making books and keeping illustrated journals. She works from her home-based studio spending most of her time illustrating children's books, designing book covers, drawing, painting and printmaking.
