About this ebook

Welcome to Farraday Country, a twist on the favorite 7 Brides for 7 Brothers theme set in cattle-ranching west Texas, with all the friends, family and fun that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston.

On the way to his family's ranch, Dr. Brooks Farraday encounters what he thinks is a hit and run. Instead he finds a beautiful stranger in the road petting a stray dog. He wants to be the friend she needs, but falling for her could come at too high price.

For Toni Castellano, attending a friend's wedding in West Texas seems the perfect escape from her life in Boston. The last thing she needs is another man in her life. She fell for Prince Charming once with disastrous results. But could Brooks Farraday really be her knight in shining armor?

This was thoroughly enjoyable. Brooks' and Toni's story (and the mystery dog) had me wondering how things could possibly work out. I loved getting to know more of the towns people; what a hoot. There were plenty of light moments to balance out the heavier ones. Sweet and wholesome with some kissing. Can't wait to read the next book.

Oh, these Farraday men. The stuff of dreams. A dormant hero lies buried inside the rugged good looks waiting for the right woman to bring out the warrior. Brooks is every bit as dreamy as his brother but less complicated. When he cares he gives his all and his chance meeting with Toni wakes up the protector in him. It's easy to fall for a guy who is an open book with his emotions and for the most part Brooks fits that category. My love of strong female leads was fed by Toni. Refusing to be a victim, she sought out to save herself. Brooks was a inspirational tale of courage and faith - enough said.

I am in love with the Farraday family and I can not choose my favorite! The warmth and strength of this family and the community is awesome. Brooks is the doctor in the family and is so busy with his practice that he barely has time to look at a woman. Toni has a secret that has her so tied up that a man is the last thing she is thinking of. No one is trying to play matchmaker with this pair, but there is something.... While the romance is the focus of the book, the reality and insidiousness of mental abuse is a pivotal point. Once again the chemistry is fantastic but things flow differently in this one since as far as everyone knows, she is married. I love the mystic dog that shows up again when Toni and Brooks meet and makes a surprising twist believable. I absolutely loved the book and it doesn't really show. I requested an advanced reader copy of this books and was thrilled to get it. The review is completely voluntary.

About the author

USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well-known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

Currently working on the contemporary romance series, Farraday Country, Chris brings stories of falling in love, matchmaking, Texas Cowboys, family values, and all around entertaining shenanigans that fans have grown to love and expect from her bestselling books.

In her Aloha Series, Chris tips her hat to the military writing poignant and sometimes funny stories of life with former military heroes. Using popular themes of small towns and sandy beaches blended with stories of the single dad, survivor’s guilt, an accidental wedding and so more continues to make the Aloha Series a reader's choice.

Readers won't want to miss Chris' romantic women's fiction novels that include a variety of themes from international settings dealing with wealthy millionaires, family feuds and tropical beaches, to the relationships between family and friends in small town Texas, and to sisterhood and friendship in the award winning novel The Champagne Sisterhood

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Author of more than a dozen contemporary novels, including a finalist for the prestigious Golden Heart Award, Chris lives in North Texas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.
