About this ebook

Plain, timid housekeeper Michelle Spicer keeps her head down and gets on with the job. She knows her place.

Bored and restless in the south of France, Alessandro Castiglione has found himself a plaything. Stripped of her uniform and naked in his bed, mousy Michelle blossoms before him.

But she knows she's only the housekeeper—not a rich man's wife. Discarded, disgraced and left with nothing but the child she now carries, Michelle is back in rainy England. Until the Tuscan tycoon decides to taste her charms again….

Hero was a jerk who never redeemed himself, heroine was spineless and pathetic. The ending was unsatisfying and unromantic, it felt like the last chapter was missing.

About the author

Christina Hollis began writing as soon as she could hold a pencil, and her first book was a few sentences about three puppies that lived in a basket, written at the age of three. Many years later, when one of her plays was short-listed in a BBC competition, her husband suggested that she should try writing full-time. Christina’s hobbies include cooking and gardening, and she always has a book to hand. You can visit her website at: www.christinahollis.com
