This book hit close to home for me. I have a fairly large family, many (half) brothers and sisters. With just my mother, I have 8 siblings. We also had our share of foster care here in Nova Scotia, so I could really relate towards this, while my time there was limited, I do know what its like suddenly being taken from home and thrust into an unknown situation. This book has so far been great, I had to buy it and read it for English in university, so I was expecting the book to be dry and boring, but this one really has been a great read.

i was not expecting such a short story, but i enjoyed it.
