I wasn't as hooked with this one from the beginning as I have been with some of Clive's past books, it was more of a slow burn, but it really began to draw me in. wanting to see more of the Imagica myself. By the end, I was hoping there would be a way to solve both presented problems, preserving one without losing the other. It was fun as a stand alone adventure, but I am hoping to find that this was not Clive's only visit to this vast, fantastical world. There is still so much more to explore!

Clive's stories are most definitely spellbounding that draw a person within the very depths of the pages themselves...and once your prolonged into the story it is hard to draw oneself back out...I love the layer upon layer of creativeness, that once one is peeled back it keeps devouring the seeker/reader with the depths of its intentions... Love his works...he has great passions

The worlds are so amazingly described and the people's lives so intricately described, I go to bed each evening believing this story is really taking place just beyond my senses. Amazing book, can't wait to read more of Clive Barker's books. This is a must read if you enjoy pain staking detail of every aspect of different worlds, magic, religion, and God.
