About this ebook

#1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER • While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling symbols.

“Blockbuster perfection.... A gleefully erudite suspense novel.” —
The New York Times

“A pulse-quickening, brain-teasing adventure.” —People

As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci—clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion—a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci—and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle—while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move—the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

Another fast-paced intriguing book from Dan Brown. I have to say this is one of the best he wrote, but he is kinda repeating after a while. The conclusion fail the crescendo and the "secret" about Mary Magdalene should have been kept for later in the book. Anyway this book kept me company while I was preparing for my quals and help me escape from the stressful reality for a while! This book was a present given to me by Mark for my 29th birthday.

Fast-paced, addictive stuff, with an interesting (if not ingenious) thesis on its bottomless subject. Though the book was a page-turner and hard to put down, and though I never turned my nose up at a book about the mysteries of religion, the writing itself caused my teeth to grit on a regular basis. Recommended with reservations.

Let see this book has sold 80 million copies as of 2009 and has been translated into 44 languages. The movie that followed as a result of that success made just over $757 million so far. When the book first came out it was the talk of the town. I guess alll you "critics" who gave it one and two stars are so much smarter than the rest of us. But I am sure they would give the Bible one star. Sorry but I enjoyed the book and the movie. Maybe because I am a little slow and realized that IT WAS FICTION and was written well and with a interesting, original and thoughtful plot. But I am the type of person who never read a bad book. Just some books were better than others. I don't feel the need to criticize every book, movie of story.
