About this ebook

In response to the growing use of sophisticated digital encryption to conceal potential threats to the United States, the National Security Agency has ushered forth the new dawn of intelligence-gathering techniques. The top-secret initiative is dubbed Third Echelon.

Its existence denied by the U.S. government, Third Echelon deploys a lone field operative. He is sharp, nearly invisible, and deadly. And he has the right to spy, steal, destroy, and assassinate to protect American freedoms.

His name is Sam Fisher. He is a Splinter Cell®.

Don't let them fool you, tom Clancy may have came up with the characters, but he didn't write the book

Not good on Sam's personality. Way too much boring historical exposition that is unrelated to what's happening, awkward & unnecessary sex descriptions.

I remember when I bought this book in physical form last year. I was hooked from the first page to the last, I love the games very much (exception being Blacklist so far) so it takes a lot to get me to read. I love reading when I'm in the mood. I will say that I really enjoyed this book. It kept me wondering what's going to happen from.start to end. I can't wait to finish book 2 and continue down the list!

About the author

A little more than thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore’s Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October, sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list after President Reagan pronounced it “the perfect yarn.” From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. He passed away in October 2013.
