One of the few books you could skip most of the last 1/3 of the book to get to the end & not feel like you've missed anything.

Messrs. Preston & Child would do well to learn that linguistic sexism works two ways ... boats, ships, planets, cars, countries, etc. do NOT have vaginas; their pronoun is properly "it." Further, "mother ship" is another instance of casual linguistic gynocentrism and just plain lazy usage, so how about "parent ship" instead? Needless to say, the same goes for the ridiculous phrase "mother nature." Get it right BOTH ways, boys ...

Right on line with all of the other great thrillers these two create.

About the author
