About this ebook

A sweetly sexy farmer falls for the girl of his dreams at first sight… but true love is never that easy.

Marcus Gries might be on the quiet side, but he knows what he wants, and he’s wanted Laura Kemper since he first saw her. But when his proposal of marriage goes sideways and he learns why Laura is determined to never marry, it will take the hardest work of his life to win her.

Laura has set aside her dreams to nurse her gravely ill father. She’s buried her wants so deeply not even she can see them. When Marcus offers her everything she’s been missing, she might not be able to bury those dreams again.

Marcus and Laura must risk everything—and trust in love to not leave them empty handed.

A lovely first book in the series. Great book, I really enjoyed it and have since downloaded the next in the series. Laura and Marcus have a very bumpy road if they ever want to reach their HEA. Family responsibilities mean Laura has lost all hope of a life and family of her own, so a husband is not even on her radar! However Marcus is done waiting, he needs a wife and only one person can possibly fill this position, he will do everything he needs to sweep Laura off her feet and win her heart. This is a sweet historical romance which was a lovely read, a good storyline, lots of emotion and of course the all important background characters who you instantly dislike!

A sometimes complicated, fast paced aggravating, sometimes sad, with funny and sweet parts in a short romance novel that leaves you wanting more of the story. It ends too soon.

I enjoyed this story immensely. It was sweet and innocent and refreshing. It is very well written and a great read if you are feeling a little down. It restores your faith in the beauty of life and love
