Mr. Turtledove has created another wonderful series, with diverse characters that help bring the events and public moods and mores into a woven storyline that moves along with the speed like that of real events. What makes it engrossing for me is the neat ability he has of throwing in attention grabbing events in the midst of seemingly boring historical narrative. I have looked forward to reading his books after being loaned one of the war between the states series volumes by a friend.
