About this ebook

In the latest novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series, homicide detective Eve Dallas sifts through the wreckage of the past to find a killer.

The body was left in a dumpster like so much trash, the victim a woman of no fixed address, known for offering paper flowers in return for spare change—and for keeping the cops informed of any infractions she witnessed on the street. But the notebook where she scribbled her intel on litterers and other such offenders is nowhere to be found.

Then Eve is summoned away to a nearby building site to view more remains—in this case decades old, adorned with gold jewelry and fine clothing—unearthed by recent construction work. She isn’t happy when she realizes that the scene of the crime belongs to her husband, Roarke—not that it should surprise her, since the Irish billionaire owns a good chunk of New York. Now Eve must enter a complex world of real estate development, family history, shady deals, and shocking secrets to find justice for two women whose lives were thrown away...

I have read every book in the Death series...twice. I eagerly await new releases and was thrilled when I received this one. Unfortunately, I was completely disappointed. Character development was just character confusion. Favorite characters were nowhere to be found. Favorite scenes and interactions never happened. It almost feels like it was written by someone other than my favorite author, J.D. Robb.

I was so excited when my book arrived, and so happy after reading it. I found it to be, as always well written, but with an intricate plot line that was unexpected but welcome. I say this because Robb's last book was a little flat. I know that this one is one of her best. It is both good enough to be a stand alone as well as to be read as one of the series. I also know this could be construed as confusing but once you read it you will totally understand. So take the opportunity to read and enjoy this excellent book and possibly step out of your comfort zone.

I just Love her & her books,!! I have All of her books. Some are hard cover & Paperback. I must admit that i also Love Nora Roberts novels,!! She is an absolute Treasure & her books are Wonderful and a Joy to read. The way they're written with her flair for details lets me See the characters as she actually describes them,!! One thing i can't help thinking is that her "in Death" series of novels would make Amazing Movies, made individually, 1 at a time,! i would Absolutely watch them, in so long as they Don't change the "script"from her book(s). JD Robb is in the Top 3 of my favorite authors,!! I sure don't see that changing anytime soon.
