Emma is a survivor from a marriage riddled with abuse. She is also adopted. After her divorce she looks into the background of her birth mother and finds that she has a sister and moves to Alaska to get to know her. Emma's journey will have a lot of twists and turns one of them is Trey a single father with an adorable son who like his father takes a liking to Emma. As they build on their relationship her past makes a grand reentrance. He isn't through with his abuse of Emma, but Trey will not stand by and allow it!
