I don't understand how these books have good reviews. The plot is the same in every book. The characters have boring personalities. The writing level is... I feel like I'm reading a child's book with smut in it. The women are the same character with different backgrounds. I like books that make you think, where the characters are multifaceted and the story isn't predictable. The ones that you can't put down. I have had to force myself through this series and it's just painful.

This series is my fantasy world. It's where I go in my head when I'm daydreaming. The characters created by JR Ward are fully developed, the stories stand on their own... But the romance is white hot. Trust me, read these. I call dibs on Rhage.

The first book wasn't great, I was a little disappointed. Plot was very simple, characters were bland, it just wasn't that engaging. However, after the first book they start to get really good. Definitely worth struggling through the first one to get to the rest.
