No writer is greater than Burke when it comes to the descriptive adjective. He is one of the greatest writers of our time, and as an aspiring author I studied the man's writing style. When I found out that he had the same agent as Michael Connelly, I knew that agent was one great judge of literature. Burke not only captures his characters to a fault, but he takes the reader into the landscape of southern Louisiana in a classic noir style that will live on in history.
