Ratings and reviews

This was almost a DNF for me. I struggled from the first minute with the hero, and I tried many times to remind myself it was a little more old school. From the moment we meet this smug, arrogant pain in the butt I tried over and over to find his redeeming qualities. It was a labor. Reggie was cute, and smart and strong, and Ellie was a wonderful and needed side character, and all of the uncles were hilarious. But, the couple itself just didn't do it for me. Their passion might be redeeming for some, but this will be one I likely won't be reading again.

I love the Characters and Lindsey always keeps you entertained with her characters and their endearing traits that bring them to life and make us fall in love with every turn of the page and every turn of events. Her books never get old and I find myself seeking them out first before other authors. I'm hooked!

I really shouldn't like these anymore because of the new enlighted era we live in, but I read it so long ago and then keep rereading it like a guilty pleasure. I ADORE Reggie. She escorts in the Mallorys series with such wit and grace that it's a wonder that everyone in the dang book didn't fall in love with her--though if the Uncles are any indication, they did at least platonically. :) Her beau though has humor when he finds out he's been outwitted by his own deviousness but cloesr to the end I do want to tell him, SHUT UP. JUST GO LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER DANG YOU! when he falls into a poor pitiful me phase. Do I recommend reading this (and the entire series at that)? Yes, but keep in mind these were originally written in a modern time frame before Me Too and women discovering their voice so you have situations in the novels that if they were in real life might make you cringe. Like I said, guilty pleasure.
