In this clever, rhyming picture book, a grandpa tells his grandson that after a long day of playing pirates, gardening, skateboarding and more—he’s simply too tired to be Grandpa at bedtime and asks that the grandson take over for him.

An utterly relatable theme told with humor and heart provides a story parents, grandparents, and children will delight in reading together at bedtime.

About the author

Karla Clark writes fiction for adults and children, but picture books are her passion. Her favorite sound in the world is a child’s giggle. Karla is a member of the Society of Book Writers and Illustrators and lives in Rockford, Illinois, with her husband and son. When she is not writing, she’s creating paper collages and digital art that she sells at art shows.

Debby Rahmalia is an illustrator and artist based in Indonesia with a passion for storytelling. A graduate of the Bandung Institute of Technology, Debby takes inspiration from the arts, great thought-leaders, and childhood wonder, hoping to entertain young readers and adults with her illustrations. When she’s not drawing, Debby spends her time reading books she has illustrated to her daughter or singing and dancing with her.
