Kira Andersen is visiting her twin brother Seth for his upcoming wedding in Massachusetts, the fact that she also has a writing assignment for the prestigious Squared magazine, is an added bonus. Coming off from a bad break-up and losing her job at a newspaper almost simultaneously was hard, but if she manages to get an exclusive article on the elusive and reclusive Malcom Roy, famous fantasy author, her future will look much brighter. Seth was supposed to pick up Kira at the airport, but he cannot and in his stead, he has sent a friend of his, Henry “Fitz” Fitzroy. Fitz and Kira hit it off immediately; they seem to like the same things, read the same books, even play the same games. Fitz doesn’t date much, and he sees distinct possibilities in adding sparks to his life until Kira mentions the purpose of her month-long visit because Fitz is Malcom Roy! A LITTLE MORE LOVE is simply put a joy to read! Kira is effervescent and so much fun, and Fitz! How irresistible can a man who actually blushes be? He is a still the geek he always was, he is a bit tongue-tied around the bubbly Kira, and he is utterly charming and sweet! Kira and Fitz share some of the most delectable banter I have read in quite a while; natural-sounding exchanges that do not consist of endless innuendos. They are just so cute together that I feared when “the revelation” would come, as this often drags on forever with silly misunderstandings and unnecessary unpleasantness, and I could hug and kiss Kendra Leigh Castle for not succumbing to those inanities! This is called perfect timing, perfect pacing, and respecting the reader’s intelligence. The writing is fluid and so effortless, you simply feel you are part of the story, the characters are extremely well-drawn, and there are oodles of little details that make you feel part of Harvest Cove. We also get to meet several characters, some who have been featured in previous instalment of this series, and even newcomers to Harvest Cove will be delighted at meeting Kira’s and Fitz’s friends and family. Kendra Leigh Castle was a new author to me, and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more of her books, because A LITTLE MORE LOVE is absolutely delightful from beginning to end! This, my friends, is what a light, pleasant, clever and witty, perfectly crafted contemporary romance truly is! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
