3.5 stars — There were definitely some great parts to this book, but there were also some lulls and some disconnects for me… Ella was an intriguing heroine, she was all closed off in some ways, and mostly I understood why. What I didn’t get was her temper! Hoowee! Matt was actually pretty surprising for a Presents hero in particular (meaning he wasn’t a jerk or high handed)….well, maybe a bit high handed.
