I think I gave it four stars because I REALLY dislike Doms who are know it alls...even when they apologize later. By then the sub has either been needlessly punished or humiliated and a "oops...I'm sorry" is supposed to make up for it. A good book overall but I'm afraid that sometimes my favorite author lets the doms do a bit to much "in their mind admitting they screwed up" instead of making them admit they screwed up in public like they make their subs apologize in public.

SIREN BELOVED is the fourth instalment in Lexi Blake’s (aka Sophie Oak) contemporary, adult TEXAS SIRENS erotic, BDSM romantic suspense series focusing on the men and women of an upscale Dallas spa and resort known as The Club, which doubles as a BDSM club. This is Dom Aidan O’Malley, sub/author Lexi Moore, and switch Lucas Cameron’s story line. SIREN BELOVED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion. Told from several third person perspectives including Lexi, Aidan and Lucas SIREN BELOVED follows the rekindling relationship between Dom Aidan O’Malley, sub/author Lexi Moore, and switch Lucas Cameron. Years earlier Aidan O’Malley walked out of Lexi Moore’s life, struggling with her need to be submissive, and his attraction to her best friend Lucas Cameron. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Lexi’s mother Abigail Barnes-Fleetwood, and her two husbands Jackson and Sam; Ian and Sean Taggart, Julian Lodge, as well as the introduction of security specialists Ben and Chase Dawson; Aidan’s former unit buddy Dwight, and ex-girlfriend Karen. SIREN BELOVED is a story of second chances, betrayal, vengeance, and love. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the characters are energetic, dynamic and colorful; the romance is erotic , passionate and intense.

I love Lexi Blake but even more than that, I love the books she wrote as Sophie Oaks. She is always my go to author when I need a really good romantic and suspenseful story with a double sized side of hot and sexy. There is just something about her characters and stories that captivates me from the very first page. And Siren Beloved is not an exception. It is intriguing, romantic, hot, suspenseful, funny... It practically has everything that makes a book amazing in my mind. I love the characters in each one of the Texas Sirens books but I've been waiting for Lexi and Lucas' story for ages. So I was super excited when I got my hands on it. I can honestly say that I wasn't disappointed. Even though my expectations were pretty high. Ultimately, this is a story of losing and finding love again, of finding hope again. A story of second chances and forgiveness. A story of finally finding your place in the world and your HEA. But of course no story like this will be complete without some danger lurking around the corner. And Lexi Blake definitely knows how to build the suspense. In between the extremely hot, romantic, tender and funny moments, she kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails and trying to figure out what will happen next. Which wasn't that surprising. It's Lexi Blake we are talking about :D In addition to all that goodness and and extremely hot characters (I mean Logan and Aiden at once, should I say more :D), loved revisiting the characters from the previous books. And it wasn't just a cameo appearance here or there. In a way, they are active parts in the story. Which I simply love <3 To be honest, I can probably talk for hours on how much I loved this book and Lexi Blake books as a whole. But I figure, you don't want to read my blabbing for ages :D So I am leaving you with this hot recommended read and I hope you pick it up because it is definitely worth it :) As for me, I can't wait for Lexi's next book.
