Ratings and reviews

It has been almost four years since I read the original published version of this story an I wish I was able to go back and read it again to see the differences. Having read every story in this world and the subsequent spin the off worlds, it was great to revisit the beginning. Lukian is basically the father of all the other immortal ops and many of the outcast. When he mates with Peren, she basically gives him the strength to continue with what he is doing. Again, this story was and still is a great set up for the books to follow.

I gave it a good shot, read the whole thing rather than give up. But i just found it all too cheesy, too predictable and too unrealistic.

This was a gripping tale of genetic manipulation amongst other things. Super humans has been a dream goal for many militaristic organizations. Scary stuff!
