I used to own this book. Unfortunately, it was lost during a bi-state move. However, before this I had gotten to chapter 11. I found this book made learning basic Spanish much easier than the textbooks I'd had in both h.s. and college. I highly recommend this for first time Spanish takers especially for freshmen high school. With this in addition to a textbook and a good teacher? I'm sure that you'll find yourself fluent in no time! 👍

I took 2 years of Spanish in High School and didn't learn much. When I became friends with Spanish-speaking people, this book helped me to become conversational in weeks, and I was fluent within 6 months. Very good book for learning.

Useless, doesn't know how to teach. Starts out with giant words, rules. Then gives examples and then "notes ". New rules! Lacks ability to teach. I thought I could learn, bought book and it is sitting unused. I give up quick. Frustrating.
