This book was really good--almost a 5, but there were so many sub plots that sometimes you almost get lost. I will be reading more of Mr. Cooper's books because they are good stuff!

Confusing as all hell!! There were too many points of view, and not enough separation between them. It was like the author tried to cram four or five different books into one book. The book itself, when I could follow it, was good but it took a lot of work to try and follow.

It's not a bad read and the story is both thought provoking and engaging. The one thing that really annoyed me was the whole gender politics thing. The book has strong female characters, but they mostly enjoy being dominated by men. The whole romantic aspect of the book centered around men keeping secrets from women and women "testing" men, but fear not, a good show of brutal force (like hitting her) will make her yours within a week. That part ruined the whole experience for me.
