About the author

Melinda grew up on an isolated sheep ranch, where mountain lions had been seen and yet she roamed unaccompanied. Being a rather optimistic, clueless of danger, sort she took to playing "what if" games that led her to become an author. She spends days trying to figure out new ways to say "He made her heart pound." That might sound boring, but the challenge keeps her mentally ahead of her 3 kids and college sweetheart husband.

Cheryl Harper discovered her love for books and words as a little girl, thanks to a mother who made countless library trips and an introduction to Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House stories. Cheryl enjoys strong characters who make her laugh. Now she spends her days searching for the right words while she stares out the window and her dog snoozes beside her. Writing has been a passion for Janice Carter from a young age but her 'second' career after teaching didn't officially start until she took a romance writing course at a local community college. The story she began then became her debut novel, a Harlequin Intrigue. Janice says she's been very lucky to do what she enjoys most--writing about the connections between people and their families; in other words, how we find love and romance.

Virginia McCullough has called many places home, but her Midwest roots inspired the Wisconsin and Illinois small town settings for both her Heartwarming series. Virginia started her lifelong writing adventure by producing magazine articles and ghostwriting nonfiction books. Now she writes multigenerational stories about characters who could be our neighbors and friends struggling with everyday issues. Virgina's books always offer hope, healing, and plenty of second chances.
