About this ebook

All Sonnie Mancuso wants is to be needed by her father. Unfortunately,
he already has a daughter--six, to be exact--and all he needs is a son.

Orphaned
in the slums of New York, fifteen-year-old Lance Harmon needs a home.
Sonnie’s father gives him one, on the cattle-rich Rocking M ranch.
Through the years, Lance learns to love the land, the work . . . and
Sonnie.

But Vince Mancuso’s health is failing, and there’s
trouble on the Wyoming range. Sonnie returns home to claim the legacy
that’s rightfully hers . . . but learns Lance has already claimed it.

About the author

Having grown up in the ranch country of western Nebraska, it was a natural evolution for me to write about the Old West, and I published fourteen historical western romances before writing my first romantic suspense, HER MOTHER'S KILLER. Now I've just released a boxed set of four of my popular romances, IN THE ARMS OF A COWBOY, four for the price of one! I'm a long-time member of Romance Writers of America, PASIC and RAH, my local chapter. I'm one of the founding fillies of Petticoats and Pistols, a popular blogsite for western romance.

In addition, I'm excited to have THE SPYGLASS PROJECT available! It's the first book in my new Secret Six series and is chock-full of Mafia, Prohibition, 1920s . . . love it! Check out the accompanying short story, too, IN THE ENEMY'S SHADOW. It's free!

I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Doug, and we have four daughters. I'm looking forward to an early retirement so I can spend my days with my children and grandchildren and do what I'm most passionate about: write books.
