About the author

The youngest of six children, I was born in Southern Indiana and grew up on a farm in the rural community of Red Quarry, near French Lick and West Baden. My mother died when I was barely 14 and I learned independence at an early age.

As a child, I had a desire to express my thoughts on paper but that was not a career option. After High School, I was fortunate to get a job with a company that taught me a skill that provided a stepping stone to other opportunities. In time, I returned to school in pursuit of knowledge that would enhance my strengths. My career spanned 40 years and included Western Union Telegraph, top secret clearance for work in aircraft, missiles and concluded with my retirement from CBS Inc. in 1995, after 30 years in a supporting role in the entertainment business.

In retirement, I have fulfilled my need to express myself with the written word. This book is a reflection of that need and fulfillment of that expression
