About this ebook

Can a scorching affair with a bohemian beauty tame a motorcycle man with a dark side? Rachael Johns takes the wheel in the sexy series co-written with Megan Crane, Jackie Ashenden, and Maisey Yates.

Travis “Cash” Sinclair values only two things from his days with the Deacons of Bourbon Street: his prized Harley Davidson and the man who gave it to him. But now Priest Lombard is gone, and Cash has inherited the Deacons’ clubhouse—not to mention its unexpected tenant. She’s exactly the type of woman he tries to avoid: all incense and art, with a sharp tongue that promises trouble. So why does Cash want to push aside those flowing skirts and lose himself between her legs?

Billie Taylor fled a bad marriage to start a new life among the grit and glamour of the French Quarter. She refuses to let another man distract her from her dreams, especially an outlaw biker with nothing to offer except hot sex and an eviction notice. Cash is dangerous, with an untamed streak he tries desperately to conceal. He drives Billie wild, sending her too close to the edge for her own good. And she won’t fall under his spell—or into his bed—without a fight.

“What happens when a hot biker with abandonment and commitment issues meets a hippie who challenges him in every way but dislikes everything he stands for? Well, a lot of heat, for one. . . . The story was enjoyable, the sexual chemistry between Travis and Billie was hot and the character development was really great. . . . I enjoyed reading Fire Me Up and I’m very interested in the rest of the brothers and the conclusion to the murder mystery.”—The Sassy Bookster

“Entertaining . . . crackling . . . The mystery, angst, and sensuality continues as readers are introduced to the gruff yet sexy playboy Travis and upbeat hippie girl Billie.”—Words of Wisdom from the Scarf Princess

Fire Me Up was a great addition to this series. . . . I love a good mystery as well as a hot love story. Deacons of Bourbon Street is giving me both—a win-win for a romance reader. This is the continuation of the Deacons of Bourbon Street MC. Years ago, Priest, the President of the Deacons MC club banned four of his top men from the club. So far the reason they were banned remains a mystery. You just know that a “job went bad”. After, Priest is killed, Travis (Cash) returns for the funeral. While there he finds out Priest has left everything to him and three others. He doesn’t want to have anything to do with the MC again. He only wants to claim his portion of the club house and return to his home in Florida. However there is a problem. The club house has been turned into an eclectic art gallery. It has been Billie’s dream to open an art gallery but now this is all threatened. Travis bulldozes his way into Billie’s life. He tells her he plans on selling the building and plans to stay in the apartment which is part of the Gallery. In the beginning there is a lot of hostility between the two. But over time over time, it turns into something more. Overall, I enjoyed this book and look forward to the stories of the remaining MC members. Hopefully, we will finally find out the reason the members were banned and why Priest was killed.

Really enjoyed this book! This is the second in the Deacons of Bourbon Street series and in my opinion, this series really should be read in order to truly understand everything that is going on. This book centers around Travis Sinclair or Cash to the brothers. He's not at all happy about being back in NOLA and is ready to leave the city and memories behind him. Unfortunately his business here isn't quite finished and he can't leave until it is. Getting rid of the tenant in a building he inherited is his first priority, too bad she is one sexy little pixie that really does it for him. Billie Taylor has had it with domineering men. So why the hell is she so attracted to Travis? She should be running hard and fast in the opposite direction. In this battle of wills can anyone really win? Maybe both of them? This is very well written and really moves the story along. I'm definitely a fan of Travis! This is a book and series I would recommend.

Loved it. Travis is a former biker that comes back to town after the club president is dies. Billie rents the old clubhouse and runs a gallery out of it. But Travis has gone legit and just wants to sell and go back home. When two of the remaining members tell him the president was killed and they want Travis to help find the killer. Now Billie must fight to keep her gallery and her heart. Excellent story. Bikers, artists, a dog and lots of dirty sex. RECEIVED A COPY FROM NETGALLEY
