I like this author's style of writing. It reminds me of Michael Crichton's writing, in that it is straightforward, but includes much detail so that the reader feels as though he is being invited into the world of the story. On a personal note, although I do not personally support a single-payer healthcare model, he makes the most compelling argument for one I've heard to date.

Great plot and very interesting as it deals with where medicine is right now.
