Ratings and reviews

I tried. I did. I read 800-900 page books regularly, so I do know world building takes time, but this series focuses on a single situation each book. The second book was focused on being fat, and dealing with being fat. There is just no saving grace for any of the characters. It feels awkward and drawn out. A promising story, however.

I adored this trilogy. I teared up at the end, both for the ending and that it was over! On to read more from this impressive and speck-tacular (🤪) author!

love her writing. an incredible read from start of the first to the very last page of the third. sad now that it is over.

About the author

Robin Hobb was born in California but grew up in Alaska. It was there that she learned to love the forest and the wilderness. She has lived most of her life in the Pacific Northwest and currently resides in Tacoma, Washington. She is the author of five critically acclaimed fantasy series: The Rain Wilds Chronicles (Dragon Keeper, Dragon Haven, City of Dragons, Blood of Dragons), The Soldier Son Trilogy, The Tawny Man Trilogy, The Liveship Traders Trilogy, and The Farseer Trilogy.
