About this ebook

The New York Times bestselling author of the On Dublin Street series returns to Hartwell, Delaware—the perfect place to get away from it all, and find what you never knew you needed....

Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content—her successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriend…even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey’s blindsided by a betrayal, she’s shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.

Vaughn admires Bailey’s free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn’s painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.

Once Vaughn begins to realize he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he’s never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they’ve found together only comes around once in a lifetime….

This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: Marie's Thoughts I’ve been a fan of Samantha Young for a while now. Every new book she puts out gets me extremely excited, and when Every Little Thing was being released, I was thrilled. This new series had me hooked with book one, and left me dying to read Bailey and Vaughn’s story. The story started out just as I expected. Bailey was the sassy, strong-willed character I’d come to love, and Vaughn was sexy. Their banter and chemistry was perfection. But then things got… interesting. After an extremely passionate night, things went south for these two, and they became… different people than I had anticipated. Now, I know that when things happen in life, it can change a person, but both characters kind of did a 180, and it caught me off-guard to the point that it took away from the story. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed reading this book, and Ms. Young didn’t let me down. She took Bailey and Vaughn full circle, but the journey to get there left me a little distraught. I was disappointed in the fact that Bailey let a man completely destroy her, but I was happy to see her return to true form by the end of the book. The author is a tremendous talent. She knows how to write a great romance novel. And even when she disappoints with a character that acts out of the norm, she keeps you invested in them, anxiously awaiting their redemption and their happily ever after. She writes with incredible passion and makes every intimate moment count. And while this wasn’t my favorite book she’s ever written, it’s an extremely solid story that adds a new layer of depth to her already impressive repertoire. ***I read and reviewed a paperback copy of the book offered to the blog by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***
