Ratings and reviews

The story left me wanting more. it's storyline was sci-fi based but believable enough. The main focus is on two young adult chasing after love literally. I think the author did a good job on the character development verses some. But she has whinny charaicture. Overall I think.

Reminded me of many other stories such as Insurgent and the Hunger Games among others but is unique and easy to read and follow. Once you know the characters and follow the headings on the chapters you know who is telling that phase of the story. Finished it in a day so had to immediately buy the sequel "Resist" to find out what happens next :-)

Was great book. Was happy about the fathers character change at the end. Not best ya dystopian I've ever read but its diff towards the top and totally great for the price. Noticed #2 is around $10 backs but this one was only $2.99 . Series should be around same price

About the author

Sarah Crossan is the author of One, which won the Carnegie Medal and the Bookseller's prize for young adult fiction and was named the Irish Children's Book of the Year. It was also named to the White Ravens list, was an Indie Next selection, and earned four starred reviews in the US. In 2018, Sarah Crossan was named Irish Children’s Laureate. Two other novels, The Weight of Water and Apple and Rain, were also shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. Sarah Crossan has lived in Dublin, London, and New York and now lives in Sussex. She graduated with a degree in philosophy and literature before training as an English and drama teacher at Cambridge University. Since completing a master's in creative writing, she has been working to promote creative writing in schools.
