Although not eloquently written, this was a refreshing addition to the lore of Five Nights at Freddy's. I feel like a lot of questions have been answered and the last few pieces of the puzzle have fallen into place. At least, that's how I feel. Was definitely worth reading if you're as far down the fnaf rabbit hole as I am. Thanks Scott! I can't wait to see what other stories you bring into this world.

So the goal of a game novelization, or a spin-off like this, is all about abstracting the "games" proper into the parts that made them resonant and then re-presenting them in a compelling way, as a book At least by my standards, The Silver Eyes is successful, but it, surprisingly, attempts to actually tell a story that is compelling and interesting. I can't say its entirely successful but it's certainly enjoyable and worth the purchase.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun read; though simply written, the story itself was just spooky enough to keep me flipping through chapters as fast as possible. If anything, the straightforward narrative made the few scary moments of the plot stand out even more, because you're not expecting them to be as intense as they are. I wouldn't say this is a book fans need to clarify lore or add any depth to the atmosphere created in the games - I don't think that's the point of this story - but it's one heck of a guilty pleasure read. If you're looking for the junk food equivalent of a novel (pure enjoyment, without gritty meaningful substance) and you just love FNAF, buy this immediately.
