About this ebook

Sometimes scoring off the ice leads to the greatest rewards.

I’ve had only one goal in life since I first strapped on a pair of skates—make America’s pro hockey league.

I left Denmark. I made it to the top. Now, I’m determined to be the best. No distractions. I eat, sleep, and breathe hockey.

Until my birthday when my teammates convince me to live a little.

But living a little takes on a whole new meaning when less than a year later I’m confronted with a crying baby on my doorstep, drooling on a note that declares he’s mine.

Suddenly, I'm a single dad in way over my head.

There is no playbook for situations like this.

Luckily, I have Paisley.

My gorgeous neighbor, my long-time crush, and now—my savior.

She’s there any time I need her.

Helping. Guiding. Gazing at me with those green eyes that make me feel capable of this after all.

With her at my side, I’m quickly learning there’s more to life than winning a hockey game.

Mikah is one of the youngest and newest members of the Ice Kings hockey team, his goal has always been to play in NHL and nothing else mattered , he needs to stay focused because he knows even though he has earned his spot on the team, that spot can easily be taken away.... His birthday was meant to be a night of fun and passion, a night to let lose and then go back to focusing on his dream career, it was meant to be one night but now nearly a year later he suddenly finds himself a father with no idea how to raise a baby ........ Paisley finds the baby on her neighbors doorstep with a note attached to him and when she realises the hot guy across the hall as no clue when it comes to babies she steps up to show him the ropes. As this couple spend time together feelings grow as does the sexual chemistry and Mikah finds himself wanting more than just a career playing hockey, as Paisley helps him stumble through learning how to be a father he finds himself wanting this strong, sassy yet funny woman in his life .. This is an entertaining read that captivated me from the first page to the last line, I loved the plot, I loved all the characters and I highly recommend this book to all sports romance lovers as well as romance lovers, it has something for everyone.

Stacey Lynn lights the lamp with Scoring Off the Ice (Ice Kings #2). In this story, hockey player Mikah Lutzgo has a son he didn’t know about left on his doorstep. He gets much-needed help from his neighbor, Paisley. This novel takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is suitable for adult readers. Scoring Off the Ice is a sweet and heartfelt story. Paisley and Mikah are both young and have admired each other from afar, until Paisley finds a crying baby left in front of his door across the hallway. They get to know each other as Paisley helps Mikah with his infant son, Angelo. They are both likeable characters. Paisley is studying to become a teacher and is great with kids. She comes from a loving family. Mikah on the other hand, left Denmark and moved to America at a young age. He did not have the best relationship with his parents. His family are his teammates. I like how Paisley and Mikah both grow throughout the novel. Stacey Lynn does a fantastic job with this story. It is skillfully written and hard to put down. The characters have interesting challenges and controversies to face. I like that the Taylor brother’s and Kate from Playing to Win (Ice Kings, #1) played a role in this story. I also appreciated the Rough Riders series tie in. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

5 Star Review Scoring Off The Ice (Ice Kings #2) by Stacey Lynn Stacey Lynn is a relatively new author to me. I loved the dynamic between Ice Kings, Mikah and Paisley. Mikah is laser focused on one thing and one thing only and that is hockey and achieving the goals that he has mapped out for himself. However, all it takes is one lapse, in this case, celebrating his birthday to have it all come crashing down around him. Suddenly finding yourself a father and having no idea how or what to do with said baby certainly created some intense and at times heartfelt and awkward situations for Mikah. He is lucky that his neighbour Paisley is willing to help him out. As he stumbles through becoming a father, with Paisley's help, he learns that there is more to life than hockey. It was gratifying and heart warming to watch the relationship develop between Mikah and Paisley. Oh and don’t get me started on how my heart just about melted with Mikah and his baby’s interactions; totally swoon worthy. The chemistry sizzled between them and Ms. Lynn packed a lot into this entertaining story. There was heat, humour and drama which only added to my enjoyment as you cannot help but become invested in their story.

About the author

Stacey Lynn likes her coffee with a dash of sugar, her heroes with a side of bossy, and her wine a deep shade of red.

The author of over thirty romance novels, many of which have been best-selling titles on Amazon, AppleBooks, and Barnes & Noble, she loves being able to turn her vivid imagination into a career that brings entertainment and joy to her readers. Focused on sports romance and emotional, small-town romance, she also loves stretching herself in different genres.

Born in Texas and raised in the Midwest, she now makes her home in North Carolina and loves all things Southern. Together with her ultimate tall, dark, and handsome hero, she has four children. Her life is a chaotic mess that fights with her Type-A, list-making, neurotically organized preferences and she wouldn't have it any other way.
