Immensely helpful and illuminating to any aspiring writer, this special edition of Stephen King’s critically lauded, million-copy bestseller shares the experiences, habits, and convictions that have shaped him and his work.

“Long live the King” hailed Entertainment Weekly upon publication of Stephen King’s On Writing. Part memoir, part master class by one of the bestselling authors of all time, this superb volume is a revealing and practical view of the writer’s craft, comprising the basic tools of the trade every writer must have. As an educator, writer, music/media artist, & a fan of Stephen King's works, this is a book I would heavily recommend to all of my students (college/university), family, friends & colleagues. King touches on many key topics to critical & ideative writing, including & not limited to structure & flow, conceptualizing, defining what good writing should be, et al. RATE:: 6/5 ☆

If anyone ever thinks Mr. King "lucked out", just read about everything he's had to overcome and accomplish to be this excellent writer and the success that he is. So many obstacles and yet he continued to do what he loves. An inspiring book for anyone who needs inspiration. Thanks once add-on Mr. King!

Stephen King us a generous man. This book is THE 'conversation-with-a-mentor' that every writer needs -- no matter how accomplished, nor where in their writer's journey they are.
