About this ebook

Marking the return of many characters from Gardens of the Moon and introducing a host of remarkable new players, Memories of Ice is both a momentous new chapter in Steven Erikson's magnificent epic fantasy and a triumph of storytelling.

The ravaged continent of Genabackis has given birth to a terrifying new empire: the Pannion Domin. Like a tide of corrupted blood, it seethes across the land, devouring all. In its path stands an uneasy alliance: Onearm's army and Whiskeyjack's Bridgeburners alongside their enemies of old--the forces of the Warlord Caladan Brood, Anomander Rake and his Tiste Andii mages, and the Rhivi people of the plains.

But ancient undead clans are also gathering; the T'lan Imass have risen. For it would seem something altogether darker and more malign threatens this world. Rumors abound that the Crippled God is now unchained and intent on a terrible revenge.

This epic fantasy series has finally found its stride. This book is awesome! Now I know why previous readers have said in the beginning reading this series is rough, but does get better. I found myself caring about characters more, rather than more of an inquisitive observer previously in the first book. The magnitude of the fantasy world is greater than any other series I've approached, and it's exciting to see previously threads become a fabric. The only negative that may turn off readers (though not me), is the creativity of the world - as it is not grounded like 'A Song of Fire and Ice' or 'The Kingkiller Chronicles'. It'll be interesting to see where the series goes from here.

The book is terrific. But reading it through Google Play was agonizing. There are so many typos... I understand that in a 900+ page book, things won't be perfect. But every 5 pages is far too much. Misspelling the names of major characters is unacceptable. If I am paying as much as I would for a paperback, I think it's reasonable to expect the same quality. I won't ding the book on stars, though, because it was amazing. But I do recommend you buy it through a different service, because Google failed here.

Book 3: Even better than 1 and 2. Now the pace picks up and Erikson grand epic starts it's slow roll.
