About this ebook

Jitterbug Perfume
is an epic.

Which is to say, it begins in the forests of ancient Bohemia and doesn’t conclude until nine o’clock tonight (Paris time).

It is a saga, as well. A saga must have a hero, and the hero of this one is a janitor with a missing bottle.

The bottle is blue, very, very old, and embossed with the image of a goat-horned god.

If the liquid in the bottle actually is the secret essence of the universe, as some folks seem to think, it had better be discovered soon because it is leaking and there is only a drop or two left.

This is the second novel that I've read by Tom Robbins. My sister recommended Still Life with Woodpecker, and it blew me away. This novel does nothing but reinforce the unique, kaleidoscopic style of Robbins's writing that I find addictive. I would read him no matter what he is writing about, and yet his stories, dialogue and philosophical diatribes (where I think he shines) are so entertaining and playful that it is impossible for me to put these books down. I'm excited to read more of his work.

This book is sacred. My favorite book ever! Tom Robbins recipe for longevity all tangled up with a story that makes you laugh and cry. 5 stars isn't enough stars

This book is a sacred text. This book came into my life 27 years ago. I read "The beet is the most intense of vegetables.." and everything changed. Other Tom Robbins books are good but this one is uniquely divinely inspired.
