About this ebook

Tracey Garvis Gravesand Anna and T.J.return in this companion novella to the New York Times bestseller On the Island.

When twenty-three-year-old dot-com millionaire Owen Sparks walked away from his charmed life, he had one goal in mind: get as far away as possible from the people who resented his success, or had their hand out for a piece of it. A remote uncharted island halfway around the world seemed like a perfectly logical place to get away from it all.

Calia Reed wasn't part of Owen's plans. The beautiful British girl—on holiday in the Maldives with her brother, James—made Owen wonder if getting away from it all might be a lot more enjoyable with a carefree girl who didn't know anything about the life he left behind.

But Owen had no idea how much his carefully detailed plans would go awry. Nor did he realize that a decision he made would have such a catastrophic effect on two passengers who boarded a plane in Chicago.

And when Owen shows up at Anna and T.J.'s door with an incredible story to tell, everyone involved will learn just how much their lives are intertwined.

Uncharted includes an early look at Covet, coming September 2013

On the Island was not some long-standing work of art but it was a good read. It seems the author has fallen into the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" trap. This read, and her other novels, are the same. Each chapter is told from a different character's perspective, rehashing the same details from the 1st book. The story line is exactly the same. The only difference is, this time, the plane doesn't crash. A great writer, she is not, but I'm sure the royalties are appreciated.

For only 105 pages you get tons out of Uncharted. Owen is a dot-com millionaire who is frustrated with the people in his life and how things are going. He decides to leave it all behind for something different. I thought Owens decision to escape was pretty bold considering he was going to an island where it would just be him and his thoughts. The journal entries were a great touch as well. While I was fine with solo Owen I loved the addition of Calia and James. Fun times were had until it turned sad.

Tracey Garvis Graves is such a captivating writer. You can tell she's done extensive research to build these characters and storylines... Either that or she's experienced it herself, that's how believable the story is. It's a fictional story but it also feels very real. I loved On the Island and I equally loved this follow up, if not more. I felt that I truly escaped onto the island and into their lives myself. I haven't read a book as good as these ones in a really long time!
