About this ebook

Gwen, Beth, and Lacy Gallatin fashion a life for themselves in the Montana wilds, operating a roadhouse that is located at the crossroads of two major stage lines. When their father is accidentally killed, the oldest sister, Gwen, reasons that she's cursed. After all, death seems to haunt her: her mother, now her father...and she was married for a mere ten days before her husband died from a bout of measles.

As Gwen and her sisters struggle to maintain the inn on their own, an unexpected visitor adds to the mayhem. Hank Bishop claims to be searching for something in the possession of Gwen's late husband. But mayhem of another sort builds in Gwen's heart as she finds a growing attraction to this man. Can she dare to hope that love might again be hers?

Cute, and I appreciated the presentation of the changing power of the gospel, but I found it a bit immature (particularly in the development of Lacey) to the point that I was slightly annoyed with the book storyline as a whole. To be honest I won't be reading any more Tracie Peterson books as leisure time is sparse, and I want a really good book to enjoy it with.

This was such a wonderful, clean Christian love story that I couldn't put it down till my eyelids closed! My only problem was that, as #1 in a series, all of the story didn't end. Gwen's & Hank's love story did, of course! But not the squabble with Rafe, the saloon owner. Our library has none of these books, I can't afford to buy the other 2, so I'll never know for sure who Beth & Lacy marry. I have my suspicions though. 😀 The author did an amazing job! I'll definitely read more of her books!

I really enjoyed reading this book. There were many characters besides the main love story which made it even more fascinating and interesting. I downloaded the ebook on the eve of going into hospital and often when I felt too ill or in too much pain to sleep this book was a fantastic distraction. Very enjoyable.
