As time went on though, I started to notice things about Fox other than his glares. Like how he watched me when he thought I wasn’t looking, or how fire ignited in his eyes whenever we bickered. Though I was in Laurel Lake to escape my problems, not create new ones. And getting involved with a man like Fox screamed trouble, even if he was gorgeous and unlike any man I’d ever met.

But alas, problem seemed to be my middle name this year. So why not have some fun while I was here for the summer? It seemed like a good plan. At least until it was time to go home…

Loved Fox and Josey! Fox is the grumpy to Josey’s sunshine. She is not his type but he is drawn to her. The small town is adorable and makes you want to buy real estate there. The secondary characters are great as well. This book will leave you with a smile and a warm place in your heart. I love all of their books but this one has become my new favorite! 5 amazing stars

What an absolutely wonderful story! Not sure my review will do this book justice! What happens at the lake is a heartwarming small town story and I absolutely devoured it. So entertaining, with snark, sass, steam and sadness too. I felt like it could be a movie, thats how it played out in my mind! With the quirky towns folk too! Fox and Josie! What amazing different characters! Her journey is entertaining as well as eye opening! So many feels and I loved every moment!

I love anything Vi Keeland writes. I honestly don't even read the synopsis of any new release, I just read it because I know it's going to be spectacular. What Happens at the Lake was no different. This was one of those books where I picked it up intending to read a chapter or two, then 3 hours later I realize it's 3 hours later. The interactions between Josie and Fox were wonderful!
