About this ebook

A beloved classic that captures the powerful bond between man and man’s best friend.

Billy has long dreamt of owning not one, but two, dogs. So when he’s finally able to save up enough money for two pups to call his own—Old Dan and Little Ann—he’s ecstatic. It doesn’t matter that times are tough; together they’ll roam the hills of the Ozarks.

Soon Billy and his hounds become the finest hunting team in the valley. Stories of their great achievements spread throughout the region, and the combination of Old Dan’s brawn, Little Ann’s brains, and Billy’s sheer will seems unbeatable. But tragedy awaits these determined hunters—now friends—and Billy learns that hope can grow out of despair, and that the seeds of the future can come from the scars of the past.

I deleted after first few pages.i thought it was going to be about a boy and his dog. They started talking about trapping a cat a bunch of times and then other animals. I had to give it one star so I could post. I love animals.

Just hearing the title brings back memories. My 3rd grade teacher and her husband, when he would visit, would read this to the class. Near the end, there wasn't a dry eye from what I remember and watching the movie definitely didn't help with our tears. This story will definitely touch your heart and make you love your pets even more than you already do.

This is a good book! My teacher made us read this for class and it is good. My favorite one is little anne. It is kinda sad at the end. But i'm ok with sad books. This is way better then the other book my teacher told us to read. I would read this book 100 times if I wanted. I just finished the book I recommed it to anyone who likes a book with dogs, hunting, nature, it does have a sad part. But I made my mom spoil it for me so it wasnt to sad for me. I wont spoil it in the reveiw because some people might actully want to read a book without all the spoils. Have a nice day and hope you enjoy this book if you don't read it you are missing out on a lot of things. If you are not intrested in this kind of book or don't like it I respect what you think. Have a nice day and stay safe!!🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🦝🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐯🐯🐯🐶🐶🐯🐱!!!!
