I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review. I honestly loved it!! There are multiple characters that pop up in this book that are from previous Love In the USA books, some good and some not so good. But...Robin had me perplexed at first. When she met Dexter you knew he was going to be someone different to her. He was her inspiration for her art. But then she chose to be with a real piece of work Mars, I have really despised him even in previous books as he only cares for himself, and I had a hard time with her choosing someone so self centered. I recalled Dexter from a previous book when he had interactions with Daisy. I was kind of up in the air with my feelings for him. He seemed to be a playboy when it came to women but when he saw Robin he only wanted her. Z.L. Arkadie did a great job of bringing the whole story behind Robin and Dexter to light. I now understand why Robin made the choices she did and also with Dexter, both the characters were more complex than I had originally anticipated. As always Z.L. Arkadie has written a beautiful love story! Definitely a must read!!

I've been waiting on Robin and Dexter's story for quite a while. Did not disappoint. Quite the plot twist with Dexter's revelation, I didn't see that coming! Am gutted that Arkadie has finished the Hester series, as I really have fallen for all their characters and also from the Lord series. I HOPE we get to revisit them in whatever future series you have planned, as I love how their lives are intertwined and you see them popping up every now and then in other books. Read all of the books. If you haven't been fortunate enough to read any yet, I highly recommend!

I received this book via ARC. ZL is one of my fav authors and I've read 95% of her books and this is one of my new favourites. I didn't like our protagonist Robin, when she first popped up in the Series, but this book gives you access to her back story and made me really feel for her. She is also nothing like me, she makes poor choices and can't seem to do right by herself, so Dexter is the perfect buffer for her. There is a major plot twist, even I didn't see coming, which was most welcomed. I don't like predictable books. If you want an enjoyable quick read, pick it up. Also go and read some of ZL other books, she has a good range which will appeal to most.
