Zane Grey (1872 - 1939) was an American author and dentist best known for his popular adventure novels and stories associated with the Western genre in literature and the arts; he idealized the American frontier.Bertha Muzzy Sinclair or Sinclair-Cowan, née Muzzy (November 15, 1871 July 23, 1940), best known by her pseudonym B. M. Bower, was an American author who wrote novels, fictional short stories, and screenplays about the American Old West.William MacLeod Raine (June 22, 1871 July 25, 1954), was a British-born American novelist who wrote fictional adventure stories about the American Old West.Clarence Edward Mulford (3 February 1883 10 May 1956) was the creator of the character Hopalong Cassidy and who wrote many works of fiction and nonfiction.Frederick Schiller Faust (May 29, 1892 May 12, 1944) was an American author known primarily for his Western stories using the pseudonym Max Brand. He (as Max Brand) also created the popular fictional character of young medical intern Dr. James Kildare for a series of pulp fiction stories.
