About this ebook

Roxy Nouvelle understands the art of deception. The daughter of a world-renowned magician, Roxy has inherited her father's talents - and his secret life as a jewel thief. She loves the thrill of the game and can take care of herself.

Roxy is smart and resilient, but she has one weakness: Luke Callahan, a sexy escape artist with a roguish reputation. Five years ago they fell into a passionate affair - but then, true to his art - he disappeared, leaving Roxy broken hearted and furious.

Now Luke is back, trailing secrets and danger in his wake. Why did he run out on Roxy all those years ago? And can she ever trust him again?

Really enjoyed this book. I feel that this is one of Nora Roberts best works. I find some of her stories though entertaining, can be an okay read, however, as a fledgling fan, I find, there are a special few that are excellent examples & this is one of them. I found part of the 'happy' ending realistically sad. As I'd been hoping for a bit of real magic to happen, I'd have forgiven a bit of fantasy due to my liking for this character & I'm a little bit disappointed it didn't happen. But that's the depth Nora Roberts makes you feel for her characters.

Loved it from beginning to end. The second time I've read it and it still hasn't lost its charm.
