I really struggled to get into the book, but decided I'd give it a chance until the free sample is done. I am so glad I did. It's not often that a book keeps me up way past bedtime, but I simply couldn't stop. Mesmerizing, rich world building, superb character development, protagonists one either love or hate. Absolutely magical. Looking forward to the next one.

I don't read that often because I struggle to find boss that grip me enough to finish. However this gripped me from page one. I only bought it as it was on sale but it would be well worth full price and I will be buying both of the other two books so far in the series one I'm done.

Easily one of the greatest fantasy sagas I've ever read. Great mixture of action, knowledge, and bad life choices. Every person I've ever recommended it to has become engrossed with the entire series. A must read for any avid fantasy fan. I actually think given some time to build up more lore and a few more series that coincide with the main arc or take place after. this could be as close as the 21st century will get to Tolkien.
