I've been going back & reading some older "fan favorite" ST novels. So i was excited that fans of the genre (like myself) had rated this book pretty high. However, i just wasn't as impressed as every one else was. It stars off pretty good but that's about it. The book did hold my attention throughout, but i would have to say it's one of my least favorite ST's & that surprised me because i usually really like Peter David's ST novels. Just dont expect to be blown away by it. 2.75 stars
