About this ebook

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.

Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves -- Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love.

Featuring what may be the first love triangle involving only two bodies, The Host is a riveting and unforgettable novel that will bring a vast new readership to one of the most compelling writers of our time.

As a reader, I felt like some information was missing at the beginning. It didn't let readers know what a Seeker was. I felt as if I got the second book, because it didn't quite explain who was who and etc. It also dragged out. If people want to read it, fine. But in my opinion, it's too confusing. I got to page 17 and I just couldn't read it anymore.😩

I am conflicted with this book it was very slow paced I have never experienced a book where I had to put it down because I was tired of reading it. I liked the plot line and story of it but I thought we would have more of Melanie and more than half way through the book I realize this is Wanderers story not Melanie. I thought there would be more of Jared in the book as well. Its mostly Wanda in her head and a lot of it without Melanie. Overall average.

I went out and bought the book myself only to find it was terrible... In my opinion ... She's an amazing author but it went by to fast didn't explain a lot of things. I asked my brother-in-law and he believed the same thing. I'm sorry but I found this horrid.
