The title and artwork on the jacket made this book appear to be a grade B romance novel but connections to Russia and Australia caught me interest. I found the book much Bethany I expected - intriguing history, believable characters, a balance between past and present, so unexpected twists and even some interesting cultural differences. I enjoying it thoroughly.
